Please reach us at littleleapsforward@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Nope! We work with all children and this includes children without a neurodiverse condition or other developmental diagnoses. We work with neurotypical children who may require a little help and we also work with children with other developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Global Development Delay, and Cerebral Palsy. If you are not sure if your child would benefit from the service then drop us an email and we will will arrange to have a chat with you.
Each session is 60 minutes long and sessions are once per week for 8 weeks
The parent(s) and/or caregiver(s) are present for all sessions. The first session will involve an in-depth assessment of your child's needs. Following the assessment, your early intervention specialist will develop goals for you and your child to work on throughout the 8 week programme. Each week you will be taught how to implement a new goal/teach strategy to promote communication and social development with your child.
Parents are involved from the outset of the process and are supported by the early intervention specialist from the beginning. The early intervention specialist will model direct skills to be taught and show parents how, where and when a skill can be taught. This is all done in the child's natural environment as this is where most of the learning happens and ensures they feel at ease and have fun! Parents are then given a list of follow-up goals that will be recommended.
While we hope that you will benefit from the 8 week sessions alone, we can also offer a continual weekly session depending on availability.
